Nigeria: The Blood of Jesus Speaks

God’s Promises

Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV)
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 60:22 (NKJV)
“A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation.
I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.”

Prayer Burden

Revival in Nigeria:

o   The complete gospel to be re-stated in the Church.
o   Unity of the body of Christ.
o   Widespread knowledge of the mystery of the gospel through the Church.
o   National Repentance.
o   Great exploit of souls and multiplication of disciples in every place.
o   The establishment of the purpose of the mystery in every facet of life, reaching every citizen of Nigeria in every tribe and tongue.
o   Leaders that yield to the counsel of God and carry mind of Christ.
o   Righteousness to be established in the nation.

Prayer for Ourselves

Ephesians 2:4-9 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.  For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,  not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
  •  Let us thank the Lord for His rich mercy and great love for us – a love that is limitless, boundless and endless.
  • Let us thank Him for the exceeding riches of His grace and His kindness that included us in His death, burial and resurrection, that we can delivered from the dominion of darkness and be free to live in Him.

Philippians 3:9 “And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.”

  • Let us declare to Him that we are seeking Him through the righteousness of faith; we have no righteousness of our own, we have nothing to boast of.
  • Galatians 6:14 – God forbid that I would boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom the world has been crucified to me and I to the world.
  • Galatians 6:16 - Lord, let Your peace and mercy be upon me as I walk according to the rule, the principles of the new creation in the name of Jesus.

We Need the Blood

Hebrews 12:24 - We have come “…to the Jesus, the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”

Ephesians 2:13 – “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”

Hebrews 9:14 – “…how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
  • Lord, we come to You by the way of the blood. We draw near in fill assurance of faith. We come under the blood of sprinkling – the only means by which I can have fellowship with You.
  • Lord, I thank for the blood of Jesus that:
    • Brings us near.
    • Gives us confidence to enter the throne of grace.
    • Speaks mercy on our behalf.
    • Cleanses my conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
    • The blood that makes it possible for us stand before God to make intercessions while He brings us to perfection in Him.
  • Lord, please look at the blood of Jesus shed at Calvary as we pray for the nation of Nigeria.

God is of Purer Eyes

  •  Habakkuk 1:13 – “You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look on wickedness.”
  • Amos 9:8a “Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom, And I will destroy it from the face of the earth…”
  • 1 John 1:5 – “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.
  • Colossians 3:6 – “… the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience.”
  • His eyes do not behold sin, yet the very people in Nigeria that we are lifting up before the Lord to see, are sinful men.
  • We thank God that the blood of Jesus speaks better things that the blood of Abel.

 What is the Blood of Jesus Saying?

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

Prayer for MERCY

  • Let us repent on behalf of the nation of Nigeria as we stand in the gap.
  • Lord, we have sinned against You. Please forgive us our sins because You are faithful. Please cleanse us from all unrighteousness – 1 John 1:9.
  • Plead for us, O Lord. You are our Advocate with the Father. You are the propitiation for the sins of the whole world, including all the sins of Nigeria – 1 John 2:1-2.
  • Lord, please have mercy on every soul in the nation of Nigeria. Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.
  • Have mercy according to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies. Please blot out our transgressions – Psalm 51:1.
  •  Let Your blood speak mercy for the nation of Nigeria.
  • Let Your blood speak forgiveness for the wickedness of the leaders who have wasted the nation's natural resources, and brought poverty upon the people. Instead they pursue personal gain.
  • Let your blood speak for all those who have blatantly stolen from the national funds, who have killed those who seek to do good.
  • Let Your blood speak for all those who worship other gods, and carry idols in their hearts despite Your sacrifice on the cross.
  • Let Your blood speak for false preachers, who have brought another gospel upon the people, wolves in sheep clothing.
  • Let Your blood speak for Churches that are worldly, churches that serve mammon and not God and teach people to clamour for material things instead of the things of the Spirit.
  • Lord, please look at the blood of Jesus shed at Calvary and have mercy on the nation of Nigeria.

Love Divine, All Loves Excelling

Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heaven to earth come down;
Fix in us thy humble dwelling;
All thy faithful mercies crown!
Jesus, Thou art all compassion,
Pure unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation;
Enter every trembling heart.

Breathe, O breathe Thy loving Spirit,
Into every troubled breast!
Let us all in Thee inherit;
Let us find that second rest.
Take away our love for sinning;
Alpha and Omega be;
End of faith, as its Beginning,
Set our hearts at liberty.

Come, Almighty to deliver,
Let us all Thy life receive;
Suddenly return and never,
Never more Thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing,
Serve Thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray and praise Thee without ceasing,
Glory in Thy perfect love.

Finish, then, Thy new creation;
Pure and spotless let us be.
Let us see Thy great salvation
Perfectly restored in Thee;
Changed from glory into glory,
Till in heaven we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before Thee,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise.
