Nigeria: Standing on the Solid Rock

God’s Proclamation Concerning Nigeria

Isaiah 60:22
A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in its time.

Zechariah 4:6
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

Burden
  • The purpose of God to be established in every facet of life in Nigeria.
  • National repentance.
  • Leaders carrying the heart and mind of Christ, the only one that can be sensitive to the needs of her citizen.
  • Unity in the body of Christ.
  • A Church ready to punish all obedience when her own obedience is complete.
  • The complete gospel to be re-stated in the Church.
  • Multiplication of disciples everywhere in Nigeria.
  • Righteousness to be established in the nation.

JESUS IS THE ONLY HOPE FOR NIGERIA!!!

John 1:1-5 and 14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Thanksgiving
  • Release of 82 Chibok girls (abducted April 2014).
  • Open Door: Asiri Ihinrere (Yoruba version of Mystery of the Gospel)

PERSONAL

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. (NKJV)

How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every blessing in heaven because we belong to Christ. (The Living Bible)

Prayers
  • Father, we thank You because we belong to Christ and You have made us to be partakers of all the spiritual blessing inside Christ.
  • We worship and adore You for the privilege of having the “life that is light” to tabernacle in our earthen vessel.

Matthew 13:11
He answered and said unto them, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Prayers
  • Thank You for counting us worthy to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, sharing Your deep secrets with us, the different segments of the mystery of the Gospel.
  • Thank You for sitting upon our lives and building us up to rightly divide the word of truth.
  • Help us to continue to abide in You and Your Word.

Isaiah 26:17-18
As a woman with child is in pain and cries out in her pangs, when she draws near the time of her delivery, so have we been in Your sight, O Lord.
We have been with child, we have been in pain; we have as it were, brought forth wind; We have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth, nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen. (NKJV)

Prayer
  • Look upon us O Lord, do not let our cries over Nigeria be in vain.
  • Let our cries accomplish victory over Nigeria.
  • Lord, may we not be women who will bring forth wind.
  • We believe You Lord, that our cries will bring forth a New Nigeria.

THE CHURCH (The Body of Christ)

Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, crying out, Repent (change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (AMP)

Matthew 3:1-2
In those days there appeared John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness (Desert) of Judea
And saying, Repent (think differently; change your mind, regretting your sins and changing your conduct), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (AMP)

Thomas Watson in “The Doctrine of Repentance” defined repentance as a grace of God’s Spirit whereby a sinner is inwardly humbled and outwardly reformed. Repentance is a spiritual medicine made up of six special ingredients.
  • Sight of sin
  • Sorrow for sin
  • Confession of sin
  • Shame for sin
  • Hatred for sin
  • Turning from sin

Prayers
  • Father, let men see their sin; let there be sorrow over sin, confession of sin, shame for sin, hatred for sin and turning away completely from sin.
  • As many came out confessing their sins and were baptised by John the Baptist, provide opportunity of repentance to Your children and cause them to see their wretchedness and turn to Jesus.
  • Remove every veil and give understanding of what Christ did for us at Calvary.
  • Lord, raise disciples in the Church who have been taught to deny self, take up their cross daily and follow Jesus.
  • Break down denominationalism barriers and cause the body of Christ to be united.
  • Father, uproot every gathering where the truth is being hidden from Your children in Nigeria in the name of Jesus.

NATIONAL REPENTANCE

Nehemiah 1:5-7
We have sinned against You.
We have acted corruptly against You.
We have not kept Your commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.

Daniel 9
We have sinned and committed iniquity
We have done wickedly and rebelled
We have departed from Your precepts and judgements
We have not heeded Your prophets who spoke in Your name
We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God to walk in His laws
Our sins and the iniquities of our fathers are a reproach to all those around us.

Daniel 9:16-19
  • Father, we ask, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your nation, Nigeria.
  • Cause Your face to shine on Your nation which is desolate.
  • Incline Your ear and hear, open Your eyes and see our desolation.
  • Father, we are not presenting our prayers before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.
  • Have mercy upon us O Lord; make Nigeria an object of Your mercy.
  • Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act.
  • Please Lord, do not delay for Your own sake, our God.
  • Bring to nought every counsel of the evil one in Nigeria no matter what cloak they are wearing, be it the cloak of leadership, clergy, layman etc.
  • Titus 2:11 Father, may Your grace that appeared to all men, appear to President Muhammadu Buhari. Save his soul, Lord we ask this day. As You still lend him breadth, Father cause Him to see Calvary before death, we plead with You.
  • Isaiah 11:2 Pray for Vice-President Osinbajo,  that the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel and might and the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. May he receive boldness and courage in this office.
