Thanksgiving
Hebrews 11:3 - “By faith we understand
that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not
made out of what was visible.”
- Let
us thank God for His love and mercy over Nigeria for He has been so good
to us. He has also given us the Repairer of lives, situations and nations
(i.e. His Word). We only need to position ourselves.
Ephesians 1:3-4
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual
blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the
creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.”
- Every
blessing that Nigeria needs as a nation has been provided by God even
before He created the world. These blessings are in the hand of His body
(the Church). Now, let us pray that Mr. Old man will be removed from the
pulpit of our churches in Nigeria and the new creation man who has the
legal right to share and administer the inheritance of God will take over
our pulpits.
Ephesians 2:10
“For we are God’s
handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God
prepared in advance for us to do.”
- There
is work prepared in advance for the body of Christ to do, that will bring
about the peace of the nation. Brethren, let us beg God to help the body
of Christ in Nigeria to put permanent stop to the work of the flesh and
pick up the prepared and acceptable work-life of God which brings about the
fear of God, trust, genuine love towards people, peace, unity, the reign
of God and the exposing and disarming of darkness.
Ephesians 3:4
“In reading this, then, you will be able to
understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,”
- Our
Father in heaven, we pray, let insight into the understanding of the
mystery of God be open unto the body of Christ in Nigeria. The mystery and
the power of God that is closed to the enemies of the Gospel, always
overcomes the mystery of iniquity. Pray that this mystery will be open to
the church.
Ephesians 3:6
“This mystery is that through the gospel the
Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one
body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.”
- Let
us ask God that the power of this mystery will break through to the hearts
of people, form and establish true unity among the body of Christ in
Nigeria; and spread across the nation in Jesus’ name.
Ephesians 3:7
“I became a servant of this gospel by the
gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.”
- Let
us pray for the body of Christ in Nigeria, that the mystery of the Gospel
will reveal to them their identity in Christ; and the value of the Gospel
will become known to them that are servant of God, not servant of mammon.
Pray that God will teach and help them carry the gospel with all care, and
also present it with all care, in Jesus’ name.”
Ephesians 3:11-12
“...according to his eternal
purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 In
him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and
confidence.”
- Pray
that with the revelation of the gospel of truth, Jesus’ church will come
together with the spirit of unity, in boldness and confidence, into God’s
presence, and seek for the deliverance of the nation and her people.”
Ephesians 4:10
“He who
descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in
order to fill the whole universe.”
- The work has been done; the work to fill the whole universe with Himself, even Nigeria as a nation. Pray that Nigeria will not miss her place in this grace, for it is settled. He has ascended higher than all the heavens. Through the body of Christ in Nigeria, the manifold wisdom of God will be known to the rulers and authorities, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
