Europe: A Little One Shall Become a Thousand -
A Divine Announcement

Isaiah 60:22
“A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in its time.

Zachariah 4:6
“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”

Luke 1:23-38
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”
  • The Lord has spoken. He has declared His intention for us, for the church, for the nations and for everyone within our sphere of influence.
  • God is not a talkative. He is not a casual speaker. When God speaks, it is because He has already initiated the project and has put all He requires in place in order to bring His Word to pass.
  • It is a divine announcement, a divine proclamation, a divine pronouncement, a divine broadcast.
  • He does not say these things to tickle our ears. His Word is totally reliable.
  •  It is massive and mind boggling. What God is saying is beyond our human imagination or ability to comprehend - "A little one shall become a thousand and a small one a strong nation."

How will these things be?

  •  It is not going to be by might, or by power. It is going to be by His own Spirit, says the Lord.
  •  It is not going to be by my preparation, my plans, my knowledge, my ability or my arrangements.
  • It is not going to be by organisational structures and strategies, administrative prowess and plans or managerial policies and schemes.
  • It is going to be by the presence, the utterance and the power of the Holy Ghost.
  • It is going to be a ‘one person show’ –  the Holy Ghost’s show.
  •  The execution will be ‘single handedly’ by the Holy Ghost – executor of God’s purpose on earth.
  • I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.

What am I to do then?

  • Declare - “Be it unto me according to Your Word.” FULL STOP.
  • Only believe, yes, only believe. Just believe.
  • The how, where, what, when are determined by the Holy Ghost.
  • Brethren, it is not going to be by our prayers, yet we must pray.
  • Brethren, it is not going to be by our preaching, yet we must preach.
  • Brethren, it is not going to be by our fasting, yet we must fast.
  • Brethren, it is not going to be by our going into the field, yet we must go.
  • But it will not be us. It will be Christ doing all these inside the carcass of my body by the Holy Ghost.
So what am I to do? Nothing! Only believe, but it can only come to pass for ‘a little one’.

Who is this little one that will become a thousand?

Isaiah 60:22
  • “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.” KJV
  • “The smallest one will become a thousand (a clan), And the least one a mighty nation. I, the Lord, will quicken it in its [appointed] time.” AMP
  • “Even the smallest family will be a powerful nation. I am the Lord, and when the time comes, I will quickly do all this.” CEV
  • “The runt will become a great tribe, the weakling become a strong nation. I am God. At the right time I’ll make it happen.” MSG
  • “The smallest family shall multiply into a clan; the tiny group shall be a mighty nation. I, the Lord, will bring it all to pass when it is time.” TLB
  • “Just watch, they will develop robustly; from so small a beginning, they will multiply and become a mighty nation. I, the Eternal One, will make it happen soon.” VOICE

Who is this little one that will become a thousand?

  • We are not praying for a little one somewhere. We are not praying for a small, weak, humble family or group somewhere.
  • We are the little ones God is talking about. We are the ones who will become a strong nation in Europe.
  • You sister/brother; you are the little one God is making this announcement to.
  • Your own nuclear family is the runt, the smallest family that God is talking about, not another family, not your friends or your Pastor’s or your leader’s family.
  • It is you and I that God is talking about. My husband and your husband, my son and you son, my daughter and your daughter. We are the ones God is talking about.
  • Please note that a little one cannot become a thousand by itself. There must be a divine input and multiplication.
  •  Who is this little one that God is attracted to, the one that God can turn His eyes to see, the one that the God can break up, and sow out and multiply to become a nation?
  • Please note that what makes a difference in any man’s life is the favour of the Lord upon Him. If God does not show mercy upon a man, he will forever remain a little one.  This word that God has declared will come and go and at the end of the year this man will still be small, weak and he would have even depreciated.
  • THANK GOD! There is a divine direction and divine instructions about this man by the Holy Ghost.

Isaiah 66:1-2

  • “Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.”
  • “I will pay attention to those who are humble and sorry for their sins and who tremble at my word.” GW
  • “The people I treasure most are the humble – they depend only on me and tremble when I speak.” CEV
  • “But there is something I’m looking for: a person simple and plain, reverently responsive to what I say.” MSG
  • “These are the people I am pleased with. They are those who are not proud or stubborn. They fear me and obey me.” ICB
  • “But this is the man to whom I will look and have regard: he who is humble and of a broken or wounded spirit, and who trembles at My word and reveres My commands.”  AMPC

Prayer Points: Reduce Me to Nothing

  • Help me with eye salve; rub your ointment upon my eyes so I can see myself the way you see me.
  • Let me see my deep spiritual need and helplessness, even though I have been to Calvary.
  • Lord, let me become little in my own eyes; little, of no consequence, unimportant, insignificant.
  • Lord, let me become little in my experience, in my ability, in my understanding, in my strength, in my so-called knowledge.
  • O God, disable me permanently; immobilise me; put me out of action. Bring me to the end of my rope in every area of my life.
  •  Break my hip bone; break all my legs, break all that will not allow You space to do as You please in my life.
  • Holy Ghost, in this Your season, begin to dig up and point out every area of strength in my life that is not from You – the things and the people I depend on instead of You.
  • Shatter them, O Lord, break them up and reduce me to nothing, O Lord. Wreck me; finish me completely.
  • Evacuate my cleverness, intelligence, acumen, aptitude, skills and ability so that You can have a man that You can multiply.
  • Show me Yourself, Holy Ghost, so that I can fall down and position myself correctly before You with my face to the dust even though I have been to Calvary, even though I am a disciple indeed.
  • Don’t let me rate myself as being significant or higher than I ought to.
  • Let me rate myself as insignificant , irrelevant, immaterial, inconsequential, trivial and minor compared to everybody else from now on and throughout my life, even when great things begin to happen in me and through me.
