Poland: Let the Water of Life Flow

Join This HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11.30am -1.30pm (UK Time)

Ezekiel 47:1-12 (NIV)

The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. 2He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was trickling from the south side.

3As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. 4He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. 5He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross. 6He asked me, “Son of man, do you see this?”

Then he led me back to the bank of the river. 7When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river. 8He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. 9Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. 10Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds—like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea. 11But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt. 12Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.”

ABOUT POLAND
  • Poland is a country in Central Europe.
  • It is on the east of Germany, and it has Russia to the north.
  • Population:  38.5 million people.
  • Capital:  Warsaw
  • The total land area of Poland is about 312,679 km2
  • In 1989, Poland ceased being a communist country and became a liberal democracy.
  • Regained independence at the fall of the USSR in 1991
  • Prime minister: Premier Polski
  • Belongs to: Euroseptic law and justice party (PiS)

The first ruling dynasty, the Piasts, emerged by the 10th century AD.  Duke Mieszko I (d. 992) is considered the de facto creator of the Polish state and adopted Western Christianity that followed his baptism in 966.

Millions of Polish citizens perished in the course of the Nazi occupation of Poland between 1939 and 1945 as Germany classified ethnic Poles and other Slavs, Jews and Romani (Gypsies) as subhuman. Nazi authorities targeted the last two groups for extermination in the short term.

The creation of the modern Polish state, the Third Polish Republic, was founded in 1989.

BRIEF HISTORY

Poland, a former Eastern Bloc country, has had a tragic history. It has known wars, holocausts, and even 120 years where the people had no land to call their own.

During this time, the Catholic Church provided unity and identity for the people. At one time, 97% of Poles claimed membership in the Catholic Church and a powerful allegiance to their own Polish pope - Pope John Paul II.

Since the fall of Communism in 1989, Poland’s economy has advanced rapidly, welcoming in Western business cooperatives. This has led to a new level of commercialisation, as well as a new set of values.

CHURCHES IN POLAND
  • Roman Catholics (65%), Christian Orthodox and Protestants (32%), and Jews (3%).
  • The second biggest church in Poland is the Polish Orthodox Church. It has more than 500,000 followers who live mainly in eastern part of Poland. They are connected with the Belarusian minority.
  • The community of Protestants consists of around 120,000 believers, mostly Lutherans (Evangelical-Augsburg Church).
  • Polish identity is rooted in its past. Some see Poland as the bulwark of Christendom. If the Poles had not defeated the Muslim Crimean Tatars and Turks during King Jan III Sobieski's raising of the Turkish siege of Vienna in 1683, Christianity would have been supplanted by Islam.
  • Women live in a male-oriented society with few groups working to change the national attitudes. They are subject to family violence at home and sexual harassment in the work place. They also have less access to credit and jobs. Very few women have achieved top leadership positions in politics, business, and the professions.
  • No Jobs for Graduates.
  • Poland joined the European Union in 2004, Attendance in the Catholic Church since 1989 has been decreasing, by as much as 25%. Poland’s evangelical population has grown slightly, but is still very small; all of Poland‘s 40,000 professing evangelical believers (approximately 1 out of 1,000) would fit into a large sports stadium.
  • Denominations like the Brethren Assemblies, the Baptist Union, the Pentecostal Church, and the Evangelical Free Church are viewed by most Poles as sects.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
  • Father, please send forth into Poland the true ambassadors of Christ, exposing and expounding the word of Truth.
  • Do away with every evil doctrine and bring down men (thieves) that do not represent You at all.

Ephesians 2:14-15

  • You have freed men from bondage the bondage of sin, satan and the world and have reconciled us to God.
  • Lord, let the men of Poland know You who is our peace.

Romans 8:7
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
  • In all the ways that the devil has gone out to establish traditions, cultures, philosophies, beliefs and has formed the mindset of man to be hostile to God, Father, please empty them of this mindset; dismantle  and break these from the mind of men in Poland.

Joel 2:25

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  • Lord, let the power and the sharpness of Your Word pierce every heart that is hearing. Bringing repentance and separation unto You.

Luke 16:26
And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.
  • Even here on earth there is a divide between Light and darkness. Lord, let the people of Poland be light; let there be a separation between them and the Vatican and let the light of the true gospel spread.
  • Lord, bring about a breaking between the Catholics in Poland and the Papacy. Let there be a divide between them. Let there be a gulf. Let the tear between them be made larger and until there is a total separation.

Genesis 1:2

  • Spirit of God please brood over the face of the word which is the power of God unto salvation bring the divine life into the hearts of men in Poland in Jesus’ name.
  • A quote from one in Polish Economist magazine: “I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: the important European thinkers of the next generation will be religious, not left-wing and secular.” Let us pray on this. We take it to mean - "Let the next generation be for Christ."

  • Lord, please fill Europe with men that fear You.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Psalm 138:1-3, 7-8
I will praise You with my whole heart;
Before the gods I will sing praises to You.
I will worship toward Your holy temple,
And praise Your name
For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.
In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
And made me bold with strength in my soul.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, (NIGERIA) You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lordendures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

Prayer for Nigeria
  • In Genesis, when God wanted to fill the world with human beings, He created just a man. He made woman out of him and multiplied them.
  • Where are those people who have been listening to and learning the word of God over the years? Where are they hiding?
  • When would they come out to outnumber the false prophets and the corrupted people of Nigeria who are determined to sell the birth-right of the nation to the enemies for wealth and positions?
  • The word of God in the book of Isaiah 60:22 and 1 Kings 19:18 came to heart as I asked these questions. Yes, God has given us His words for multiplication and there are those He has reserved for His purpose over the nation of Nigeria and the body of Christ.

Isaiah 60:22
A little one shall become a thousand,
And a small one a strong nation.
I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.”

1 Kings 19:18
Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”

Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

 Prayer Points

1.     God, we plead in Jesus’ name, bring out all Your men reserved for the help and deliverance of Nigeria; the men and women who look up unto Jesus as the author and finisher of people’s salvation, nation’s deliverance and restoration.

2.     Lord, we seek for Your reserved saints who live by faith not by sight, who stand on the title deed of God’s promises as Daniel stood up to pray for Jerusalem in the book of Daniel 9.

3.     Father, we ask for Your reserved saints who are permanently connected to You who speak Your mind even in the face of death. Please Lord, bring them out from their hiding places to affect the nation of Nigeria in every way in Jesus’ name.

4.     God, as the Mystery of the Gospel is breaking through lives, homes, marriages, young and old, bringing healing and transformation, let it breakthrough to the nation of Nigeria in Jesus’ name.

5.     All the principality and power of greediness and corruptions in Nigeria, Lord, let all their activities be renders to useless in Jesus’ name.

6.     The little one that has been reserved in Nigeria to become a thousand, God we ask, give them the Spirit of faith to overcome; let their eyes of faith be open to see what to do and let their words of faith be sharpen in Jesus’ name.

7.     Father, please release the little men and women of low estate whom You can use in Jesus’ name.

8.     Father in heaven, those small ones that will become strong nation, those that are poor in spirit, those that the whole of heaven is behind when they speak and act, let them be release to all the strategic areas of Nigeria to rule and manage the affairs of the nation in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Nigeria: Intercessors Arise!

Join This HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11.30am -1.30pm (UK Time)

Hebrews 10:12-13 (NKJV)

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.

Ephesians 2:6-7 (NKJV)
...and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:34 (NKJV)
Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Prayer for Ourselves
  • Let us thank God for what He has done for us. Thank Him for offering up Himself for our sins, thank Him for including us in His death and burial.
  • Thank Him for the work of the cross that raised us up together with Him to a higher plane - higher than principalities and powers, higher than the rulers of darkness, higher than spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
  • Lord, thank You for this supreme vantage point, thank You for this awesome privilege. Help me to walk in the reality of my new location every day.
  • Lord, we are here to pray for Nigeria because, even now, You are at the right hand of God making intercessions for us and You are waiting for the time when Your enemies will be made Your footstool.

What will God do when the time comes for Him to make His enemies His footstool?

Psalm 110: 1, 5-7
1 The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
The Lord is at Your right hand;
He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.
He shall judge among the nations,
He shall fill the places with dead bodies,
He shall execute the heads of many countries.
He shall drink of the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He shall lift up the head.

What is Jesus doing while waiting for God to fulfil His promises?

Hebrews 7:25 (NKJV)

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
  • Lord, as we are seated with You, keep us waiting with You for what God will do among the nations. Help me to know that – to those who eagerly wait for You, You will appear a second time apart from sin for salvation. Hebrews 9:28.
  • Lord, I have need for endurance so that while waiting, I do not become discouraged, Don’t let me draw back, but let me believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10:39.

Nigeria Needs Intercessors
  • Tribal conflicts - Biafra agitators are making threats that northerners should leave the Igbo region and the northerners have issued the same threat.
  • Devastating riot between Hausa and Yoruba communities in Ile-Ife, killing 46 people and wounding 96 in March 2017.
  • Conflict in the Niger Delta region because of oil began around 20 years ago and is still ongoing.
  • People are preaching hate and deliberately aiming to bring Nigeria to disunity, to calamity and to irretrievable destruction.
  • Famine in parts of the country- the number of children affected is approximately 450,000 and 14 million people need humanitarian assistance.
  • Social problems – Corruption, poverty, greed, poor education, terrorism, domestic violence.
  • Infrastructure problems – electricity shortages, limited water supply.
  • Problems with the economy, rich getting richer, poor getting poorer.

The answer to all these problems is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

No social program or government strategy can bring revival to the hearts and minds of men. Men, women, girls and boys in Nigeria must hear the complete gospel, repent and be baptised into Christ.

To intercede is to plead on behalf of someone in difficulty or trouble. Nigeria is in trouble - We also must arise and intercede for her from our location in Christ.

Deborah Arose…

Judges 5:6-7
“In the days of Shamgar, son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were deserted, and the travelers walked along the byways. Village life ceased, it ceased in Israel, until I, Deborah, arose, arose a mother in Israel.

The Result…
Judges 5:31
“Thus let all Your enemies perish, O Lord! But let those who love Him be like the sun  hen it comes out in full strength.” So the land had rest for forty years.

Prayer for Nigeria
  • Lord, help us to arise – arise to intercede.
  • Set my heart ablaze with Your compassion for souls pouring into hell.
  • Lord Jesus, You took me to Calvary to get rid of my sin and to give me Your life. Help me to arise in Your righteousness, like Deborah. Let me not be silent again.
  • Arise in me, O Lord, let Your enemies in Nigeria be scattered.
  • Let those who love You in Nigeria be like the sun when it comes out in full strength.
  • Raise men and women at every gate that will shine for Your cause in Nigeria.
  • Help them to arise in boldness.
  • Equip them with the mystery of the gospel, the only answer to the mystery of iniquity that is already at work in the nation.
  • Silence the foe and the avenger that is raging against the purpose of God.
  • Let the land of Nigeria have rest, O Lord.

Prayer for the President

The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord,
Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.
  • Pray that He will yield to the counsel of God.
  • Pray for his health.

Pray for the Vice President
(Acting as President at present)

Ephesians 6:10-20

  • Lord, grant that he will be strong in You and in the power of Your might.
  • Uphold Your Servant by Your Spirit.
  • Pray that He will put on the whole armour of God so that He will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
  • Reveal to him, Christ and Him Crucified. Let Him be sure always that He is there to represent the purpose of God. Let his time in office be known to have advanced the purpose of God in Nigeria.
  • Give Him utterance to open His mouth and boldly make known the mystery of the gospel.
  • Help him to take a stand for righteousness, knowing where he is positioned – higher that principalities and powers. Whenever he gets to a decision gate, help him by Your Spirit to choose Your way. Let him not be confused but be clear minded always.

Nigeria: The Greatest Invitation

Matthew 11:28 Living Bible (TLB)

Matthew 11:28-30 Amplified Bible (AMP)
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
“Come to me all of you who are tired from the heavy burden you have been forced to carry. I will give you rest. Accept my teaching. Learn from me. I am gentle and humble in spirit. And you will be able to get some rest. Yes, the teaching that I ask you to accept is easy. The load I give you to carry is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 The Message (MSG)
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Matthew 11:28-30 King James Version (KJV)
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Prayers

  • Give us grace to continue in this commission of making Christ known.

Peter in Acts 2:38 Repent and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

John the Baptist in Matthew 3:2 Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

  • Raise and flood Nigeria with disciples who have forsaken all for the excellency of gaining Christ.

Daniel Hymn
Standing by a purpose true,
Heeding God’s command,
Honor them, the faithful few!
All hail to Daniel’s band!
o   Refrain:
Dare to be a Daniel,
Dare to stand alone!
Dare to have a purpose firm!
Dare to make it known.

Many mighty men are lost,
Daring not to stand,
Who for God had been a host
By joining Daniel’s band.

Many giants, great and tall,
Stalking through the land,
Headlong to the earth would fall,
If met by Daniel’s band.

Hold the Gospel banner high!
On to vict’ry grand!
Satan and his hosts defy,
And shout for Daniel’s band.

Output of Daniel's Life
  • None of the young men impressed the king as much as Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah.
  • They were put on his regular staff of advisors.

  • Ask God to birth the life of Jesus in our youth.

Unless the Lord builds a house, the builders work is useless.
