There is Hope for Europe
Job 14: 7-9
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant. (KJV)

“For there is hope for a tree—if
it’s cut down, it sprouts again and grows tender, new branches. Though its roots have
grown old in the earth, and its
stump decays, it may sprout and bud again at the touch of water, like a new seedling. (TLB)
For a tree there is always hope. Chop it down and it still has a chance—
its roots can
put out fresh sprouts. Even if its roots are old and gnarled, its stump long dormant, At the first whiff of water it comes to life, buds and grows like a sapling (MSG)
Europe Was a Fruitful Tree
Europe as a continent accepted the gospel first hand
from the disciples who had direct contact with Jesus Christ. Rome, Rhegium, Puteoli, Antioch (buried under the
city of Antakya in modern day Turkey),
Athens, Corinth, Paphos, Salamis, Syracuse and many more where visited by the
Apostles.
The gospel then travelled into all the nations of
Europe, and men turned to the Lord and patterned their lives after him. In answer to the Lord’s call and their consecration to
the Lord, Europe as a continent was the singular continent that God used to
spread the gospel to every other continent on earth in time past.
Missionaries from Europe went all over the world,
proclaiming the gospel. Puritans left the UK and took the gospel to America. Many missionaries left Portugal, Italy, Germany,
Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales, France, and took the gospel to Africa, China and Asia.
Europe was a great tree, whose fruit, fruit of the
gospel and of the Holy Spirit, fed many nations. Many people, whole tribes, came and sheltered under the
gospel issuing forth out of Europe.
Europe - A Tree Cut Down
•
But
this tree has being cut down, this tree has be devastated, ravaged and the root
is dry, it is old, it has decayed and it has been dormant for too long. It is
gnarled , deformed.
•
In
fact many things have been built where the tree once stood, many other trees
have also been planted, they have grown, they have taken root and they are
bearing and have been bearing fruits form many years, many centuries in Europe
•
These
trees have become strongholds, almost with a sense of permanence, perpetuity,
in fact they have evolved to become beasts, monsters in Europe, proud, arrogant trees who defy God
and say who can uproot me from here.
•
But the Lord is saying to us, AT THE SCENT OF WATER, EUROPE shall sprout up again.
•
This little one shall become a thousand,
and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his
time.
•
It will not be by power, it will not be by
might , it will be by MY SPIRIT says the Lord.
•
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the

At the Scent of Water…
•
The only criteria for this
tree to sprout back to life is water.
•
The Lord did not even say, " try and remove the usurper trees first.
•
The Lord did not say, "Dig up
the root or dig around the tree.
•
The only thing that will
make this tree sprout again is water, life giving water.
•
This water, coming forth out
of His 'little ones' in whom He has dug a well.
•
Who or what is this water?

Jesus answered and said unto her, whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

JESUS IS THE
LIVING WATER, THE HOLY GHOST, FLOWING, MOVING UPON LIVES, MOVING IN WHOLE
COMMUNITIES AND WHOLE NATIONS.
At the Scent of Water…
•
The dried-out roots of the gospel in Europe can only
sprout by the power of the Holy Ghost.
•
It cannot and will not be by the arrangement and
organisation of man, churches or ministries.
•
The Holy Ghost, however, needs receptacles, carriers,
containers for the water.
•
The water is flowing; He has been flowing from
eternity, through every generation, in every nation, but correct
buckets that will fetch this water and disperse in their nations are very
scarce in our own days.
•
As zealous as we may be, if a well, a spring, has not
been dug into our lives, Europe will be unfortunate.
•
The level of water we are seeing now is the level that
Mystery of the Gospel has been able to dig into the lives of God’s children.
•
The outflow of water (the Holy Ghost) is
directly proportional to the extent of the digging.
•
God in His mercy may have to wait for another
generation. We don’t know, but that is why we are here to pray.
Prayer Points:
•
Lord, please do not cut me down; do not cut me off from
among the trees in your plantation; have mercy upon me, O Lord!
•
Lord, please dig up my life as an European; dig me up
so I can be a correct receptacle of Your water, the Holy Ghost.
• Lord, dig up the lives of other Europeans, Europeans by birth or Europeans who have migrated from other nations, who call upon the name of the Lord. Cause an excavation in our lives that will hit the water table of the Holy Ghost.
•
The complete gospel is the only instrument for digging
up the life of men. Lord, let the gospel be preached overtly or covertly in
Europe.
•
Lord, use the cyber world, media world, political world,
economic world, to reach the unreached
in Europe.
•
Use the gospel to dig up monster trees, strongholds and principalities in the nations of Europe; in the hearts and minds of the Europeans in the name of Jesus.
•
Lord, please do not cut me
down; do not cut me off from among the trees in Your plantation; have mercy
upon me, O Lord!
•
Lord, please preach the
complete gospel to me as a European again and again; preach the gospel again
and again to all Europeans who call upon Your name.
