A New Nigeria In The Hand of God (2)

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Friday 11.30am-6.30pm (UK time)

1 Timothy 2: 1 – 4
1 Samuel 9: 25 – 27; 10: 1-10; Ezra 1, 3, 4
  1. Thank the Lord for the peaceful election and making His choice.
  2. Lord, just as it was in the days of Saul, give unto the leaders a new heart and let Your Spirit come upon them.
  3. Lord, please let them be men that you can walk with.
  4. Let their Spirit be subjected to Your leading and directive.
  Ezra 1:1 – 3
Unlike the way of every man, let us not set time and judge this regime with our natural senses. Rather let us ask the Lord for a discerning spirit in other to understand His timing and seasons for the nation: Physical state of things have a way of affecting the mindset, thus creating room for doubt and unbelief. Therefore, let us not say like others, “Let us see what he can do in 100 days.” The truth is that the situation in Nigeria is not what can be curbed in 100 days. Rather, let us keep giving thanks to God and continue in our intercession for strength to carry out the task. At the moment, Nigeria is going through a cleansing process and God is doing an underground work. The task before new President and the new Vice President is a very huge one and they cannot do it alone! Before anything solid can be done, the old system has to be completely wiped out before another building can be erected. This transformation process is likely to affect everyone.

Hebrews 3:4
For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.
  1. Lord, please in your mercy, let Nigeria be re-built by You through the hands of those whom you have elected as leaders both at State and Federal levels.
Ezra 3: 8-13
We are most grateful to God for those whom the new President has chosen to work with.
  1. Let us pray that their standing with God will not change. That God should uphold them in the place of duty and grant them the grace to walk in righteousness, boldness and courage regardless of the opposition they may face.
  2. For every minister that would be given a portfolio, God should work peace and agreement within them concerning every wise godly decision that will be taken to effect a positive change for the nation (Amos 3:3).
Ezra 4: 1-4
By faith, we trust God that Nigeria will be re-built upon a solid foundation.
However, let us pray against the enemy of the nation. Nigeria has a mandate in the agenda of God. God’s purpose and expectations for this nation will not be cut short.

Who is that enemy that would disguise herself as a friend to Nigeria? God still sees her (Nigeria) with the eyes of the future as a nation that will play a very vital role in the coming revival in other nations by spreading the truth of the complete mystery of the Gospel.
  1. Lord, whatever and whomever would dare to stand in the way of progress of Nigeria, please expose their hidden agenda and bring them to naught.
  2. Lord, let no scheme of man or powers of darkness prevail over this nation, Nigeria.
  3. Let this nation not fall into the trap and hands of the wicked one again.
While growing up, a child is bound to face challenges (such as peer-pressure, decision making etc.) Please give Nigeria the strength to scale through all her challenges and cause her to remain firm and strong.

Lord, help us to be watchful and prayerful labourers. May this ‘new Nigeria’ which you have delivered unto us, not die in our hands. Help us to be good nursing mothers who have vowed to keep watch and see that Your will is established in this land.

Grant us grace Lord, that we do not fail in our places of duty.
