The hours-long drama saw Burkinabe troops, backed by French special forces, battle militants -- including two women fighters -- who stormed the four-star Splendid Hotel, which is popular with foreigners and United Nations staff, and took more than a hundred people hostage..."

• Thank God for the openness of the Burkinabes to the Gospel in the past. Now Lord,please open their hearts to the complete cross centred Gospel. 
• Let their recent tragedy be a key to openness to the Lord for help.
• Bring the Macedonian cry from the people of Burkina Faso. Open us doors to reach them with the Gospel and the love of God. 
• Destroy the destructive pagan spirit that has mingled with Christianity over many years, causing powerlessness and abject poverty. 
• Rebuke the jihadist spirit that attacked last week, bringing much fear and sorrow. 
• Pray for strength for the disciples in the country. May the Lord increase them in strength and courage. Lord, please link us to these brethren somehow.

GOD’S COMMITMENT

God has announced that the DAY HAS BROKEN.
Even now, the hand of the Lord is stretched out over the nations, to bring about His promised restoration through the cross of Christ. 

God Himself decreed it.

Isaiah 14:24-27 NKJV

²⁴ The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying,
“Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass,
And as I have purposed, so it shall stand:²⁵ That I will break the Assyrian in My land,
And on My mountains tread him underfoot.
Then his yoke shall be removed from them,
And his burden removed from their shoulders.²⁶ This is the purpose that is purposed against the whole earth,
And this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.²⁷ For the Lord of hosts has purposed,
And who will annul it?
His hand is stretched out,
And who will turn it back?”

Holy men of God prophesied it. 
On the Day of Pentecost, Peter was moved by the Holy Spirit as He spoke from Psalm 110:

Acts 2:34-36 NKJV
³⁴ For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:

‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,³⁵ Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”’

³⁶ “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

Nothing can stop God from doing what He has committed to His Son that He would do, after He willingly suffered and died, just to execute His Father’s plan.

OUR COMMITMENT

God needs us to response to His commitment. He has definite expectations from us. This is why Jesus Christ said to us: Occupy till I come.

Luke 19:13

“Occupy till I come” – KJV

“Do business till I come” – NKJV

“Engage in business until I come” – ESV

“Invest this for me while I am gone” – NLT

“Buy and sell with these while I go and then return” – AMPC

JESUS is expecting a good return for His investment at Calvary from all over the nations when He returns.

Ours is to commit to ‘doing business’ until He comes and to ensure we have contributed to the increase of His kingdom which is sure to happen.

What is the business we are to do until He returns?

It is the business of inviting nations to the abundant life of Christ through the gospel and labouring in fervent prayer as people who are looking for and hastening the coming of the Day of the Lord.  

Isaiah 55:1-5 NKJV

“Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.² Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.³ Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David.⁴ Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people,
A leader and commander for the people.⁵ Surely you shall call a nation you do not know,
And nations who do not know you shall run to you,
Because of the Lord your God,
And the Holy One of Israel;For He has glorified you.”

We are called to ‘buy and sell’ this gospel but we cannot trade with what we do not have. The life of Christ is the currency of this trade. The gospel has to be our life otherwise we will not be able to invite anyone to ‘come, buy and eat’.

PRAYER FOR 'THE CALLED'

•  Lord, please make us part of Your move.
• Restate the complete gospel in our lives.
• Qualify us to enter into the business of inviting people who thirst to come, buy and eat. Qualify us for this end-time work of inviting people into Your abundant life so that we can call on nations who do not know You and they will run to You.
•  Give us understanding of what you have called us into.  Help us to understand our inheritance so we do not squander it.
•  Make us samples/specimens of the life of Christ so that the reality of the gospel will be seen in us.
•  Grant that we will commit to bringing profit into the kingdom.

PRAYER FOR REVIVAL IN NIGERIA

A revival started in Nigeria in the early seventies with an outpouring of the Holy Spirit through Scripture Union. These converts (called SU’s) were on fire for the Lord and Christian fellowships in universities and other higher institutions were set ablaze. Many people, both young and old, became born again with evidence of speaking in tongues.

There was a deep hunger for God and before long, many churches and fellowships sprang up. Millions heard the gospel message through revival meetings and many young people who were caught up in the revival have grown to become the pastors and teachers in Nigeria today.

What killed this revival?

• The message of the cross was no longer preached.
• The lives of the leaders no longer reflected the truth of the gospel. They were not samples of the life of Christ.
•  False teachers seeped in with another gospel. People who had no understanding became deceived.
• Worldliness seeped in. There was no longer a demarcation between the Church and the world.
• Mammon seeped in. People became like Esau – exchanging their inheritance for a mess of pottage.
• Born-again became a cliché. People say they are born again without letting go of their sinful life. There have a zeal but not according to knowledge.

There is a need for us to pray fervently for NIGERIA. God is poised to break the yoke of the enemy. He is ready to pour down the Holy Spirit as He did before to revive the people again.

• Ask the Lord to bring back the cross to the centre of the pulpits in Nigeria.
• Ask the Lord to raise faithful men as leaders, who will preach the gospel.
• Ask the Lord for leaders that the qualities of the life of Christ can be seen in their conduct. They can only pass on what they have to the people in whom God has created thirst.

The Lord has His remnants in the nation of Nigeria. Despite the situation with leaders of the church, God is making His disciples – His ‘worm Jacobs’. He is making them into sharp threshing instruments having teeth to thresh the mountains and beat the hills as mere chaff - Isaiah 41:14-15.

• Pray that disciples will grow and multiply until false teachers are swept into the river of this revival.
• Pray that discipleship centres to spring up all over the nation.

Raise a cry for the young people:

• Ask the Lord to visit the young people and revive them again.
•  Pray that the Lord will revive fellowships in the universities.
• Ask the Lord to cause them to stand on the complete gospel and make them part of His move.

Sustaining a revival calls for wisdom. We have an enemy that is ready to outwit us. ‘Occupy till I come’ means – there is a time-frame in which we are called to ‘do business’. 

• Ask the Lord to give us heavenly wisdom to ‘do business’ until He comes.
• Ask the Lord to raise men and women in Nigeria who would have wisdom and divine strategy in this day of His power so that the revival will not fizzle out - James 1:5-6; James 3:13-18.
• The Lord has given us ‘minas’ (life of Christ, grace) needed to do business – Luke 19:13.  Ask the Lord to grant that when He comes and He asks what we have done with what He gave us, would be like the servants who gave a good report.

There will be an in-gathering of souls into the kingdom of God from the nation of Nigeria in the name of Jesus – Amen.

The Acts of the Holy Ghost

Acts 2:1-2 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.”

Acts 4:29-31 “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”

Prayer Points

• Dear Holy Spirit, fall afresh upon the rods of your strength that you are sending forth in the nations of Europe.
• Dear Holy Spirit, please brood upon, hover upon and incubate these rods for Your use
• Dear Holy Spirit, fill up Your vessels afresh, baptise them afresh, immerse them, consume them, submerge them with a fresh experience of Pentecost.
• Grant them boldness and confidence in the Holy Ghost to declare the Word of God.
• Let the preaching not be with human wisdom or understanding, but a demonstration of the power of the Holy Ghost.
• Let the preaching come out of the life of Christ living inside of them; let their preaching come from the indwelling Holy Ghost, issuing forth like rivers of living water.

Acts 8:5-8 “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.”

Prayer Points

• Let Your rods preach ONLY ‘Christ and Him crucified’ in the power of the Holy Ghost.
• Let them only preach the full, correct, unadulterated gospel of the cross of Christ.
• Let Jesus only be their message, nothing more, nothing less.
• Lord, stretch forth Your hands to heal, to deliver and to perform several miracles without noise, without any focusing of attention on the miracles.
• Let the people with one accord believe and give heed to the words of Your rods in the whole of Europe.
• O Lord, add to them such as should be saved , add the 3,000, the 5,000, the hundred thousands, the millions. Lord add to us.

Acts 8:9, 13, 18-23 “But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one…Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done…And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.”

Prayer Points

• Dear Holy Spirit, please help the believers to continue steadfastly in the doctrine of Christ.
• Help them Lord not deviate to the left or to the right; let them become disciples and followers of Christ indeed.
• Lord, bring increase to Your Word, in the hearts of the people, in their communities, in their churches.
• Dear Holy Spirit, multiply disciples in these nations; do a quick work of multiplication of disciples in Europe.
• Satan, the Lord rebuke you; you will not be able to hijack what God is doing.
• Lord, deal a decisive, terminal and fatal blow on any attempt of the enemy to adulterate this move of the Holy Ghost.

Prayer Points

• Dear Holy Spiri, please help the interpreters so that every man will hear in his own tongue.
• Dear Holy Spirit, please give the interpreters utterance so that every man will understand in his own language.
• Dear Holy Spirit, give the interpreters ability to speak out so that every man will hear in their own dialect.
• Dear Holy Spirit, You are the Teacher. Teach, train and give ability to learn languages, to translate, to speak new languages, to transcribe books and literature.
• Dear Holy Spirit, give us songs in these languages that You will use to push Your Pentecost in Europe.

WHO ARE WE ASKING THE HOLY SPIRIT TO FALL UPON?

We are asking the Holy Spirit to fall upon the many 'Obadiahs' and the many 'seven thousands' in every nation in Europe.

Prayer Points

• O God! Please hasten the day that the Holy Spirit will fully come as a rushing mighty wind upon Europe.

North America - Bermuda Triangle

• Also known and called Devil’s Triangle;

• Losses occur in about 2.5million sq/km between Miami, Puerto Rico and Bermuda;

• Conspiratorial fantasy claiming that dark forces were at work; some claim it was a territorial area were aliens dwell;

• Base on this, scores of books were published and many become best-sellers, among which is the popular Charles Berlitz’s THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE, which was published in 1974;

• Although myriad fanciful theories have been proposed regarding the Bermuda Triangle, none of them prove that mysterious disappearances occur more frequently there than in other well-travelled sections of the ocean. In fact, people navigate the area every day without incident;

• When Christopher Columbus sailed through the area on his first voyage to the New World, he reported that a great flame of fire (probably a meteor) crashed into the sea one night and that a strange light appeared in the distance a few weeks later. He also wrote about erratic compass readings, perhaps because at that time a sliver of the Bermuda Triangle was one of the few places on Earth where true north and magnetic north lined up;

• Since then, scores of fellow paranormal writers have blamed the triangle’s supposed lethalness on everything from aliens, Atlantis and sea monsters to time warps and reverse gravity fields; whereas more scientifically minded theorists have pointed to magnetic anomalies, waterspouts or huge eruptions of methane gas from the ocean floor. People have even gone so far as to speculate that it’s an area of extra-terrestrial activity or that there is some bizarre natural scientific cause for the region to be hazardous; but most likely, it’s simply an area in which people have experienced a lot of bad luck. In all probability, however, there is no single theory that solves the mystery.

• Phil 2:9-11 – We call you “Bermuda Triangle” by name, and we subject you and your activities under the name that GOD Himself has highly exalted above all names – and that is the name of “JESUS”;

• Eph 1:20-22a – Because GOD raised Christ from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all the principalities and powers of you, Bermuda Triangle, we bring you under the feet of JESUS – for He has being made Head over you.

This gulf state is best known in the U.S. as the catalyst for the 1991 Gulf War in which Kuwait was liberated from Iraq. Kuwait is the only gulf nation to hold legislative elections, but the real power has been held by the al-Sabath family for the last two centuries. Sumni Islam is the state religion. Although the Gulf War resulted in loosening strict religious rules in Kuwait, full freedom of worship is still not a reality. Only Muslims may become citizens. Christians have the freedom to live and work in Kuwait, but worship must be within the Christian community (a limited physical location). Evangelism to Kuwaitis is forbidden. The Christian community in Kuwait includes 27 congregations that conduct church meetings in many languages. The government discourages Christianity by providing financial incentives for those who claim to be Muslim and has purchased large quantities of Bibles in order to burn them.

The Constitution provides for religious freedom.

There are between 200 and 400 Christian Kuwaitis. 

Isaiah 56:3

Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the LORD say, “The LORD will surely separate me from his people”; and let not the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dry tree.”

Isaiah 56:6-7

Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants—
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant—
7 Even them I will bring to My holy mountain,
And make them joyful in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
Will be accepted on My altar;
For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.

The foreigner is not kept from joining Himself to the Lord. Rather, he will be brought into God’s holy mountain. His sacrifices will be accepted, and he will experience the joy of the Lord.

PRAYER:

• Pray for the Christian converts from Islam that are at risk of harassment from several sources.

• Pray that God will protect the country from Islamic State militancy which would not bode well for Christians.

• Lord, cause false teachers, prophets and the unclean spirits to depart from the land.

• In Your strength and in the majesty of Your name, lift up Your hand against the adversaries in the land. Please LORD, throw down all their stronghold, cut off their carved images, and sacred pillars.

• Blur the vision of their soothsayers. Lord, banish the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock. Collide with those that have spoken lies in the name of the Lord.

• Lord our God, please raise and send selfless kingdom labourers in Your name and might to Kuwait.

• Lord, send Your Your Word of Life into the hearts, homes, schools and all establishments over land of Kuwait. Let the doors be open to the Mysterious Jesus Christ.

Let the knowledge of the glory of the LORD uncover their hearts for the 

saving knowledge of CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST.
