Isaiah 49:24-26 (KJV)
Shall the prey be taken
from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives
of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be
delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will
save thy children.
26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with
their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet
wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy
Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Lord, we believe.
Luke 1:45 (KJV)
45 And blessed is she that believed: for there
shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
- All souls belong to God – over 186 million in Nigeria.
(Ezekiel 18:4)
- All were created for His pleasure. (Revelation 4:11)
- The law of sin within operating within the people keeps
them captive to sin and cannot do the will of God.
Romans 7:22-23 (KJV)
For I delight in the law
of God after the inward man:23 But I see another law in my
members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to
the law of sin which is in my members.
But there is a law
that sets free…
Romans 8:2 (NKJV)
For the law of the
Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
The Cross, Our
Deliverance
The cross is the only
means of delivering the lawful captive of sin, the prey of the terrible.
The cross is the only
means of incapacitating the oppressor.
Romans 8:3-4 (NKJV)
For what the law could
not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His
own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in
the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law
might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to
the Spirit.
Prayer: Thank You for
the Cross!
- O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this
body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! (Romans
7:24-25a).
- Thank You for sending Your Son in the likeness of
sinful flesh on account of sin. Thank You for delivering me from the body
of death. Thank You for setting me free to live for You.
- Help me to walk in the light of the liberty You have
given me. Grace to live according to the Spirit, please grant unto
me.
- Pray for all in the souls in Nigeria that have had a
revelation of their deliverance by the cross. Ask the Lord to establish
them in the truth.
Prayer: Souls Yet to
Encounter the Cross
Isaiah 49:24-26 (KJV)
Shall the prey be taken
from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives
of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be
delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will
save thy children. 26 And I will feed them that
oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own
blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am
thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
- By virtue of the finished work of the cross, we make an
appeal for every soul in Nigeria. We ask for the deliverance of every
lawful captive.
- “…If one died for all, then were all dead: And
that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto
themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again…” (1
Corinthians 5:14b-15)
- Lord, it is Your desire to set all men free to live for
You. We bring every soul to Nigeria before You. Contend with with the
enemy of their soul. Save them and save their children.
- Let all flesh in the nation know that You are the
Saviour, the Redeemer and the mighty One of Jacob.

Encounter the Cross
Romans 10:14-15 (NKJV)
How then shall they call
on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of
whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And
how shall they preach unless they are sent?
As it is written:
“How beautiful are the
feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
- Let us ask the Lord for men and
women with the beautiful feet of Jesus, who will blaze about the good news
of the deliverance of the cross all over Nigeria – from Sokoto to Calabar,
from Maiduguri to Lagos…
- “For the earth will be filled with
the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
(Habakkuk 2:14)
- Let us ask the Lord for the
revelation of what Christ did on the cross become widespread in Nigeria
according to His promise.
- Let us ask the Lord for a
multiplication of disciples in Nigeria according to His promise that a little
one shall become a thousand and a small one a strong nation. Hasten it, O
Lord, we pray.
Prayer: The Church in
Nigeria
The enemy has risen up
like a flood against the church in Nigeria.
We have seen what the
congregation of Zion has turned into – no power, no love, no passion.
Isaiah 59:19 (KJV)
So shall they fear the
name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the
sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall
lift up a standard against him.
- Lord, as Your disciples in Nigeria begin to arise and
multiply, let the fear of the Lord come upon the church again.
- Let us pray for the Spirit of the Lord to lift up a
standard against the enemy – against the flood of mammon, worldliness and
false doctrines.
Prayer: The Church in
Nigeria
Mark 10:46-48 (NKJV)
46 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of
Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of
Timaeus, sat by the road begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on
me!”
48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried
out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be
called.
- Lord, as Your disciples in Nigeria begin to arise and
multiply, let all who have been blinded by the devil receive sight. Let
those like blind Bartimaeus, sitting on the road using beggarly means,
begin to hear the gospel.
- Lord, as You went to Jericho with Your disciples,
please visit every congregation in Nigeria. Put a hunger in the hearts of
Your people and let them begin to cry for mercy.
- “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven.” Let Your people wake up to the poverty of their
spirit, to begin to realise what human nature has deprived them of so that
they can cry persistently until they gain the attention of Jesus.
Prayer: Spiritual
Leadership
The church in Nigeria has suffered because
of a lack of spiritual leaders whose lives are patterned after complete the
gospel.
Romans 6:3-4 (NKJV)
Or do you not know that
as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His
death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism
into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
- Lord, root out the
natural (carnal) leaders and give us spiritual leaders that lead like
their Master, Jesus.
- Leaders who are
baptised into the death of Christ, who are buried with Him, who are raised
with Him and walking in newness of life.
- Give us men of God who
can link men to God in order to get their inheritance.
- Lord, show mercy to the
Church in Nigeria in the name of Jesus.
SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER
Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare,
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare,
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
The joys I feel, the bliss I share,
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
Where God my Saviour shows His face,
And gladly take my station there,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
The joys I feel, the bliss I share,
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
Where God my Saviour shows His face,
And gladly take my station there,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I’ll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I’ll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
