• What is required of us to make this come to pass?

² Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:
³ But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.

• For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)

⁴ Howbeit the Lord God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:

• This Jesus has done for us through his precious blood (Hebrew 9:22).

⁵ And of all my sons, (for the Lord hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.
⁶ And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.

• The clause:

⁷ Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, IF HE BE CONSTANT TO DO MY COMMANDMENTS AND MY JUDGMENTS, AS AT THIS DAY.

⁸ Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the Lord, and in the audience of our God, KEEP AND SEEK FOR ALL THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD YOUR GOD: THAT YE MAY POSSESS THIS GOOD LAND, AND LEAVE IT FOR AN INHERITANCE FOR YOUR CHILDREN AFTER YOU FOR EVER.

• That is, pass the Baton on.

⁹ And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

¹⁰ Take heed now; for the Lord hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.

• Brothers and sisters, this is the desire of God for us His children and the victory to do this He has given us through His Son Jesus Christ. But are the people / Nations saying?

Luke 19:14 (KJV) ¹⁴ But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, WE WILL NOT HAVE THIS MAN TO REIGN OVER US.

•  What is the Lord going to do? Lets read  Psalm 2 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

¹Why are the nations so angry? Why are the people making such foolish plans? ² Their kings and leaders join together to fight against the Lord and his chosen king.³ They say, “Let’s rebel against them. Let’s break free from them!” ⁴ But the one who rules in heaven laughs at them.
 The Lord makes fun of them.⁵ He speaks to them in anger, and it fills them with fear. ⁶ He says, “I HAVE CHOSEN THIS MAN TO BE KING, AND HE WILL RULE ON ZION, my holy mountain.”

¹⁰ So, kings and rulers, be smart and learn this lesson.¹¹ Serve the Lord with fear and trembling.
¹² Show that you are loyal to his son, or the Lord will be angry and destroy you. He is almost angry enough to do that now, but those who go to him for protection will be blessed.

Let’s pray

Psalm 2:⁷ Let me tell you about the Lord’s agreement: He said to me, “Today I have become your father, and you are my son. ⁸ If you ask, I will give you the nations. Everyone on earth will be yours. ⁹ You will rule over them with great power. You will scatter your enemies like broken pieces of pottery!”

• O Lord, my father, standing on your agreement in Psalm 2:7-9; please give me Europe for my inheritance and that of my children in Jesus name.
• Give me today O Lord; the inhabitant of Europe for you in Jesus name.
• The power to win their souls for you, please grant it unto me, in the name of Jesus.
• Enlarge my coast, O Lord, to possess these lands for you in Jesus name.
• Give me the word and the wisdom to minister the truth at all times in Jesus name.
• Please give me the word to speak and the word to say at all time in Jesus name.
• O Lord, please give me listening ears to hear and perceive you at all time in Jesus name.
• O Lord, send me and Let the world know you have sent me in Jesus name.

Isaiah 49 (KJV)

² And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

• O Lord, please make my mouth like a sharp sword and a polished shaft in your quiver in Jesus name.
• In my Journey to possess Europe for you; please hide me under the shadow of your wings and make your truth my shield and buckler in Jesus name.

⁵ And now, saith the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength.

• O Lord, my father, help me to operate under your capacity and not my capacity in Jesus name. Let your strength be my strength in Jesus name

⁶ And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob (the Elect of God that are still sleeping), and to restore the preserved of Israel (Church of today): I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

• According to your word, O Lord, please make me a light to raise up your elects that are sleeping, the sleeping church and the Gentiles( Unbelievers)in Jesus name.

⁸ Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

• Thank you Lord, for your word which says you will help us, preserve us, give to us the people of Europe, establish us on the Earth and make the desolate heritages our inheritance. 

⁷ Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

• Amen. This shall be our portion/ inheritance in Jesus name. Thank you Lord.

PRAYERS FOR THE PERSECUTED (CHRIST LIKE) DISCIPLES IN ASIA

Mark 12:1-9 (KJV), Jesus speaking:

¹ And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the wine fat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen [Pastors, General overseers, those in key positions in the Government, Politicians, Entrepreneurs etc.] and went into a far country.

² And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant [a Disciple, a carrier of Christ], that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit [Christ's life] of the vineyard.

The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness there of; so what did they do?

³ And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.

⁴ And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.

⁵ And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

⁶ Having yet therefore one son, his well beloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.

⁷ But those husbandmen said among themselves, this is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. 

⁸ And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

Brothers and sisters, this is a typical persecution that is going on in the world today against the Disciples of Jesus. It is common in all nations including ASIA. It is common in our churches, work places and in families. We have brothers and sisters who are been killed / persecuted because of their faith; for their stand for the TRUTH (JESUS).

John 14:6 (ERV) "Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me."

Jesus in John 15:18-19 (ERV) confirms these. He says:

¹⁸ “If the world hates you, remember that they hated me first. ¹⁹ If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as it loves its own people. But I have chosen you to be different from those in the world. So you don’t belong to the world, and that is why the world hates you.

• We want to pray on behalf of our brethren for strength, grace, courage, and hope just like Jesus did for his disciples in John 17.

• Verses 9-11 of Mark Chapter 12 says: "What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. ¹⁰And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: ¹¹ This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

• We want to ask the Lord to replace these husbandmen (hirelings just like in John10:10-15) if they do not repent and turn to JESUS who is the way, the truth and whose lifestyle they have to follow.

• We want these Disciples to be the stones that the builders refused to accept.

• We want the oppressors to know that it is the Lord’s doing for the persecuted Christians to become the head of the cornerstones.

LET US PRAY:

John 16:13 (ERV)

But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all. He will not speak his own words. He will speak only what he hears and will tell you what will happen in the future.

• Lord my Father, please always help Your Disciples to listen to Your Spirit when You are leading them into all truth, in Jesus' name.

John 17: 9-10 (KJV) 

I pray for them (Jesus praying for his Disciples): I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. ¹⁰ And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

• Lord my Father, please glorify Jesus in the lives of Your persecuted children in Asia, in Jesus' name. Give them the assurance that they are Yours and Jesus is still praying for them, in Jesus' name.

John 17:11

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

•  Lord, please continue to send both physical and spiritual help to Your children in Asia so that they do not feel alone, like Elijah, in Jesus' name.

John 17:12

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

• Lord, please continue to keep Your Children in Your name. Do not let them give up regardless of what they are going through, in Jesus' name.

John 17:13-15

And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.¹⁴ I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.¹⁵ I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

• Lord my Father, please fill your children in Asia with Your joy and Your Word; and further keep them from the evil on, in Jesus' name.

John 17:16-17

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.¹⁷ Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

• Lord, please continue to sanctify Your children through Your truth: Your word is truth, in Jesus' name.

John 17:18-21

As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. ²⁰ Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; ²¹ That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

•  Lord, please encourage Your children to know that what they are going through will not be in vain but it will stand as a testimony for those who will believe Jesus through their words.

John 17:22-23

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:²³ I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

• Holy Spirit of God, please always bring to their remembrance that their labour and suffering in the Lord will not be in vain but it will be rewarded; and that they have an inheritance for it here on earth and in the world to come, in Jesus' name. Please make them one as well, in Jesus' name.

John 17:24-26

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.²⁵ O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.²⁶ And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

• Finally brethren, we want to ask the Lord to please encounter all those who are suffering as a result of ignorance; that the truth of Christ be revealed to them so that they do not labour in vain any further, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Europe: Give Me This Mountain

Christianity is said to be the largest religion in Europe. Christianity has been practised in Europe since the 1st century, and a number of the Pauline Epistles were addressed to Christians living in Greece, as well as Rome. According to a survey by the Pew Research Centre in 2012, found that 75% of Europeans considered themselves Christians.

Catholics were at the time of the survey the largest Christian group in Europe, accounting for more than 48% of European Christians. The second-largest Christian group in Europe were the Orthodox, who made up 32% of European Christians. Although the Protestant Reformation began in Europe, only about 19% of European Christians were part of the Protestant tradition. Russia is the largest Christian country in Europe by population, followed by Germany and Italy.

For at least a millennium and a half, Europe has been nearly equivalent to Christian culture. Europe is said to have rich Christian culture, especially as numerous saints, martyrs and popes were European themselves. All of the popes from 741 to 2013 were from Europe. Europe is said to have brought together many of the Christian holy sites and heritage and religious centres.

With all these, WHY IS EUROPE THE WAY SHE IS? 

Let us look at the answer in Romans 2:17-29. Paul was addressing the Jews, who in this case could be the European Christians:

Romans 2:17-29 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV):

 ¹⁷ What about you? You say you are a Jew (Majority of Europeans are said to be Christians). You trust in the law and PROUDLY claim to be close to God.

¹⁸ You know what God wants you to do. And you know what is important, because you have learned the law.

 ¹⁹ You think you are a guide for people who don’t know the right way, a light for those who are in the dark.

 ²⁰ You think you can show foolish people what is right. And you think you are a teacher for those who are just beginning to learn. You have the law, and so you think you know everything and have all truth.

 ²¹ YOU TEACH OTHERS, SO WHY DON’T YOU TEACH YOURSELF? You tell them not to steal, but you yourself steal.

 ²² You say they must not commit adultery, but you yourself are guilty of that sin. You hate idols, but you steal them from their temples.

 ²³ You are so proud that you have God’s law, BUT YOU BRING SHAME TO GOD BY BREAKING HIS LAW.

²⁴ As the scriptures say, “PEOPLE IN OTHER NATIONS INSULT GOD BECAUSE OF YOU.”

²⁵ If you follow the law (God’s law), then your circumcision has meaning. But if you break the law, then it is as if you were never circumcised.

²⁶ Those who are not Jews (Christ like) are not circumcised. But if they do what the law says, it is as if they were circumcised.

 ²⁷ You have the written law and circumcision, BUT YOU BREAK THE LAW. So those who are not circumcised in their bodies, but still obey the law, will show that you are guilty.

²⁸ YOU ARE NOT A TRUE JEW IF YOU ARE ONLY A JEW IN YOUR PHYSICAL BODY. (Doing charitable works to other poor Nations / people; like we see around us) TRUE CIRCUMCISION IS NOT ONLY ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BODY.

 ²⁹ A true Jew is one who is a Jew inside. True Circumcision is done in the heart. IT is done by the Spirit, not by the written law. And anyone who is circumcised in the heart by the Spirit gets praises from God, not from people.

Isaiah 49:3-4(ERV) & (KJV): ³ He told me, “Israel, you are my servant. I will do wonderful things with you (I will be glorified in you).”

This is God’s intention for us. But what have we done?

 ⁴ I said, “I worked hard for nothing (I have laboured in vain). I wore myself out (I have spent my strength for nought), but I did nothing useful. I used all my power, but I did not really do anything. So the Lord must decide what to do with me. He must decide my reward.”

This was the cry of a servant of God who realised that all he had been doing for God was NOTHING. Why? 

Like Paul said to the Jews in Romans chapter 2:17-29:

• You bring shame to God by breaking his law”.
• You are not a true Christian if you are only a Christian in your physical body and not inside your heart.
• “People in other nations insult God because of you.”
• You are guilty of the sin you are asking others not to do.
• You get praise from people and not from God in the things that you do.
• You work in the flesh and not in the spirit.
• You teach others but don’t teach yourself; you don’t practice what you preach.

We want to pray for the Christians in Europe, the Kingdom labourers in Europe and for ourselves because we are in it like these:

• O Lord my Father, do not let the labour of my hands and that of your servants in Europe be in vain in Jesus’ name.
• We will not work hard for nothing in Jesus’ name.
• We will not wear out physically in vain in Jesus’ name.
• In this our labour, O Lord, everything we do will be according to Your will, Your purpose, Your pattern and it will be useful to You in Jesus’ name.
• After using all our power in the service of the Lord, it will not produce wind, that is, end up to be nothing, in the name of Jesus.

Isaiah 42:18-25 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) ¹⁸  “Deaf people, listen to me! Blind people, look and see! ¹⁹ In all the world, no one is more blind than my servant. No one is more deaf than my messenger. No one is more blind than my chosen people, the servant of the Lord.

• O Lord, open our ears to listen and our eyes to look and see (be observant) in Jesus’ name.

Isaiah 42:20 ²⁰ My people see what they should do, but they do not obey me. They can hear with their ears, but they refuse to listen to me.”

• Anything the world system has used to prevent us from obeying or listening to You, Lord, please put Your hand on it and take them away in Jesus’ name.

Isaiah 42:21 ²¹ The Lord wants them to do what is right. He wants them to honor his wonderful teachings.

• Help us to do what is right, O Lord, and honour Your teachings in Jesus’ name.

Isaiah 42:22 ²² But look at his people. Others have defeated them and have stolen from them. The young men are afraid. They are locked in prisons. People have taken advantage of them, and there is no one to protect them. Others take their money, and there is no one to say, “Give it back!”

O Lord, have mercy on us and give our men of courage the strength and boldness to take back what is theirs (Europe), in Jesus’ name.

• Let Your children in places of authority stand for You in Europe in Jesus’ name.

Isaiah 42:23 ²³ Will any of you pay attention to this warning? Will you ever learn to listen? ²⁴ Who let Jacob be defeated? Who let others take what belonged to Israel? The Lord allowed them to do this. We sinned against him, so he let people take away our wealth. The people did not want to live the way he wanted (God). They refused to listen to his teaching. ²⁵ So he poured out his anger on them and brought wars against them. It was as if there were fires all around them, but they didn’t know what was happening. It was as if they were burning, but they didn’t try to understand.

• O Lord, by your mercy and the Blood of Your son, Jesus Christ, please help us listen and pay attention to Your warnings; then send help to us in Jesus’ name before it is too late.

Prayer for the Refugees in Europe

• Father, as you have begun in Europe, revive the body of Christ. Let such refugees be converted to the complete gospel that is life changing in the mighty name of Jesus.

 

Prayer for the Nation of the Europe

Gen.1:1-3 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.              

• Lord God, Creator of heaven and earth, we plead Your visitation in the nations of Europe to remove the thick darkness that is covering the hearts of men.

Psalm 118:1-4 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.4 Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

• Thank You Father for the nations of Europe.

• Thank You for Your mercies upon the whole of Europe.

Psalm 118:17 I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord.

• Lord, preserve Your men in Europe to declare the works of thy salvation.

• As the devil comes to steal, to kill to destroy Your sheep, Father protect Your own. 

• Father, keep firm and standing to the end Your own.

Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

• Spirit of the living God, lift up a standard against the devil and evil forces of darkness in Europe in Jesus’ name.

• Let men fear and reverence Your name all over the nations of Europe. (Name the nations).

Psalm 118:22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.

• Lord God, we pray that Jesus will be the Chief Cornerstone in the lives of men in Europe; the Rock upon which men must build.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

• Lord, thank You for bringing the daybreak in our day.

• In this day, give us grace to go out carrying our seed, returning with songs of joy carrying our sheaves in Europe (Psalm 126:6).

• Lord, make us ready and willing. 

• Quicken Your work in us.

Psalm 118:25 Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity.

• Lord, let Your work be deeply rooted in Europe.

• Save O Lord; save now the men of Europe, the youths, women, old and the young of Europe.

• Let them come to the saving knowledge of Christ.

• Send now prosperity to Your work; let Your word prosper in the hearts of men in this continent of Europe.

• Spread Your knowledge Lord in Europe; Let it abound as the waters cover the sea.

Psalm 118:13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.

• All the enemies of God that thrust so sore at His Church, at His organisations, at His new creation, in order to cause it to fall, Lord, rebuke them in Your anger. 

• Lord, this is the day, establish it firmly on earth, for in heaven Your word stands firm (settled). Psalm 119:89.

Psalm 118:27 God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar. 

• Bind us to the alter, O Lord.
